SPOILER ALERT: These articles may describe what goes on in the videos!

Car Runs Over Popcorn, Rattles, a Flashlight, and More

I watched the “Crushing Crunchy & Soft Things by Car! EXPERIMENT: WATER BALLOONS VS CAR” video from the Experiment with Everythings YouTube channel recently:

The video features a car tire running over various objects. From what I could see, the objects include an apple, drinks, popped popcorn, water balloons, plastic figurines, soda cans, plastic rattles, eggs, a flashlight, and some other stuff I couldn’t recognize!

I wouldn’t try this at home, since it can make a real mess and could be dangerous, but I still think it was an entertaining video to watch!

Lookner YouTube Channel's First Video

20 Nov 2019 - 2 minutes

Steve Lookner, who also hosts the Agenda-Free TV YouTube channel that focuses on breaking news, has held a live stream session to create the first video for his new Lookner channel on YouTube. This first video has the relevant title of “The First Video”:

In this video, Steve goes into more detail about the new Lookner channel that he is in the process of building up. It sounds like he has a number of ideas for content, possibly including some comedy content and more live stream content, although he indicated that his first priority will still be Agenda-Free TV.

He also talks about some of the limitations of a new channel. It’s not currently monetized, for example, so that is something he will be working toward. He also thinks it may be harder to draw people to his new channel, as it may not be as easily found as his Agenda-Free TV channel is. Steve is also waiting for live streaming support to be activated on his phone.

A variety of other topics came up. Steve talked about his sleep schedule, which can be unusual at times because of when breaking news happens, and his coverage of it. Additionally, he talked about his apartment and its layout, and how it might present some challenges for recording content. At one point he indicates that he prefers live videos to pre-recorded content, as the live streams allow for more interaction with the audience, and they allow him to avoid doing video editing that he doesn’t have time for. He considers possibly doing a video about his living situation and his requirements for a home.

Steve mentions that he will be traveling to Boston, and he wraps up the video by sending thanks to the audience.

I think that this is a good start. It’s a simple live stream video, but I think it does help prepare the viewers for what Steve might have in store for his new Lookner channel. I know that I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of content he’ll be creating for this new channel!

Steve Lookner's Lookner YouTube Channel Announced

19 Nov 2019 - 2 minutes

When there is breaking news, the Agenda-Free TV YouTube channel, hosted by Steve Lookner, is one of the places I go to for more information and coverage.

Recently, there was an Agenda-Free TV video entitled “An Announcement”:

The video starts out very differently than the typical Agenda-Free TV videos do! Steve is not wearing a dress shirt and tie, and he’s sitting in front of a blank green screen.

I think Steve realized that viewers might be worried that something was happening to Agenda-Free TV, so he was quick to make it clear that the Agenda-Free TV channel was not going away. He makes it clear that he will still be covering breaking news.

He talked about how he has been covering news for almost 3 years, and that he had been feeling burned out recently. He further explains that he’d like to be able to make content that isn’t about the news.

This leads into the big announcement: he’s starting a second YouTube channel called … Lookner!

He talked about how this second channel’s content and subject matter would be different than Agenda-Free TV. It might include things like comedy, product unboxings and reviews, outdoor live streams, and whatever else he might want to create.

Steve cautioned that viewers should keep their production value expectations low, at least at first, as he learns good ways to create this new content. He also warned that he might swear on the new Lookner channel.

He then took a variety of questions from viewers, talking more about his ideas for the new channel and how it might develop.

As an occasional Agenda-Free TV viewer, I am very interested to see the content that Steve will create for his new Lookner channel!

Car Runs Over Bananas, Balloons, Eggs, and More

The “Crushing Crunchy & Soft Things by Car! Experiment: Long Balloons vs Car” video from the Experiment with Everythings shows a car driving over various things:

As far as I can tell, the objects that are driven over include a balloon, a full bottle of dish soap, a bunch of bananas, long balloons filled with water, a melon, pens, toothpaste tubes with the caps removed, a compact fluorescent light, a dish of candies, eggs, a toy digger, ceramic bowls, and other items.

I found this video to be entertaining! The bananas looked like a huge mess to clean up. THey were all over the car tire, too! Given how messy, and potentially dangerous, this type of activity can be, I wouldn’t try it at home.

How an Automobile Clutch Works

17 Nov 2019 - 1 minutes

I found the video “Clutch, How does it work ?", from the Learn Engineering YouTube channel, to be a very informative explanation about how a car clutch works:

I have watched other videos that explain how an automobile clutch works, but many of them use simplified graphics. This video, on the other hand, appears to me to use a detailed and realistic depiction of the parts and mechanisms involved.

This video also explains how the clutch is involved with an uphill start, giving an overview of the physics involved with this.

Despite being a shorter video covering a complex topic, I think that I learned a lot from it.
