Recently, I watched the Experiment with Everythings YouTube channel’s “Crushing Crunchy & Soft Things by Car!- Experiment Car vs Rubber Gloves” video:
This video features various things being run over by a car tire. From what I could tell, the things that were driven over include a plastic toy truck, a rubber glove, various food items, a porcelain bowl, a plastic toy cow, plastic drink bottles, other plastic toys, long balloons, bananas, popped popcorn, and other objects.
I found this to be an entertaining video. It’s not something I would try, due to the risk of injury and because of the mess it makes. But the video was amusing, I think.
I have watched an informative video entitled “Why Is English Spelling So Damn Weird?!" by Paul of the Langfocus YouTube channel:
In this video, Paul talks about why English spelling can be so unpredictable and weird at times. He gives some examples which include things like silent letters and character combinations that correspond to numerous different sounds.
He explains how English derives from numerous other languages, like various Germanic languages, French, Latin, Greek, and others. He tells how over time, and because of English’s origins, situations may have arisen that resulted in the unexpected spelling we see today. He also talks about the Great Vowel Shift, as well as hypercorrection by adding letters to words when they aren’t necessary.
While some other linguistics and language videos sometimes leave me confused, I found this video easier to follow and it made sense to me. It really makes it clear just how many other languages and factors have influenced the development of the English language over the centuries.
Thanks for the video, Paul!
I have just watched the “Crushing Crunchy & Soft Things by Car - Satisfying videos” video on the Experiment with Everythings YouTube channel:
In this video a car tire is used to run over a variety of different objects. From what I can see, the objects include things like bread, a toy car, a bowl, grapes, light bulbs, a basketball, a football, shot glasses, eggs in a frying pan, rubber balls filled with some kind of a liquid, and other items.
For a short video, I found this to be entertaining. I wouldn’t try it myself because it looks like it could be dangerous, and because it could make a mess.
I have watched the “Crushing Crunchy & Soft Things by Car! Experiment Car vs Candy Ball” video on the Experiment with Everythings YouTube channel:
In this video, a car tire runs over various kinds of items. From what I could tell, the objects included a rubber chicken toy, a glass container of candy, plates, a plastic fish toy, a toy truck, a basketball, pasta, a plastic dragon toy, plastic straws, various foods, a rubber dinosaur hand puppet, drink containers, eggs, and more.
It should be obvious, but the crushed eggs really make a mess! Despite being a short video, I found this entertaining. I wouldn’t try it myself due to the risk of injury and because it looks like it could make a big mess to clean up.
I’ve just watched the “Experiment: Car vs Chicken Eggs” video from the Experiment with Everythings YouTube channel:
This video features a car tire driving over various objects and items. As far as I can tell, the things that are run over include plastic toys, bread, biscuits, a rubber duck toy, a plastic alligator or crocodile toy, a chess board, food, an inflated plastic bag, something that looks like an aloe vera leaf, and other things.
I was entertained by this video, despite it being short. I wouldn’t try this myself due to the safety risk and the mess it looks like it could make, but I did find the video amusing.
